Hardships and challenges
These do not rain upon us, they pour...
Dampening the spirits
In their wake broken, shivering masses of the hopeless
Yet the heavens place no burden
Upon a shoulder it couldn't bear
Each mortal is blessed
If only we’d look within
Beyond the self doubt, the fear
And find our hidden wings...
Feel the courage to spread them out
Staring adversity in the eyes, unblinking
Flapping away as we soar... higher...
And fly beyond the clouds
